Students at CASS work directly with a professional mentor and engage in all aspects of software engineering and DevOps.
Clients include the Apache Software Foundation, the Linux Foundation, the Oregon Department of Transportation and Fortune 100 companies.
Student positions are 20 hours a week year-round, typically for two or more years, allowing students to continue taking classes while gaining real-world experience working with clients.
Before working for CASS I was unsure whether the software development industry was the career I wanted to pursue, but I am now leaving CASS with an exciting career ahead of me in software engineering, and I could not be more excited to continue down this path. CASS is for people looking to get their foot in the door in the industry. Everyone I worked with was friendly, patient, and made me excited to go to work every day.

Working on real-world software and DevOps projects not only gives our students a great opportunity to use, understand and contribute to new technologies, but also puts their work out in the open where it can be seen and appreciated by users, developers and potential employers.
